Ascending to Luoyang

It was a real shame to miss the famed Kyoto Railway Museum. Kiyomizu-dera, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, and the five-storied pagoda were all swarming with tourists.
Fushimi Inari Taisha was too vast; I couldn’t be bothered to climb the mountain and only skimmed through it.
The tofu dinner was extraordinarily delicious. Reading the plaque hanging on the wall, I learned it was an old shop dating back several hundred years.
After dinner I walked to Yasaka Shrine, which had the festive atmosphere of a Lantern Festival, with lanterns hanging everywhere.
